Playing catch up again, this time sharing some creations for Studio Fourteen40.. The snazzy foil flair on this page is hard to photograph but looks gorgeous IRL!
the next 2 pages were a bit of an experiment, I had a go at scrapping on A4 card, it was a challenge but I enjoyed it and found the second page easier than the first, so I think I'll persevere with this size from time to time..
I managed to photograph the foil flair this time!.. How cute is the little wood veneer heart? x
It was very exciting to create with the first piece of CTK patterned paper in the main kit. I'm loving the muted pinks and orange and have used a large triangle in the corner of the page, along with a few scraps from other sheets. A soft watercolour background helps tie in all the colours. and I've finished with stamping, graphite and ink splatters
I've used just the main kit on this page, beginning with a mixed media background using gesso, mists, inks and graphite
For this page, I've created a background with mists and distress stains, using a minimal colour scheme of blues and gold. I've used a single doily and cut a section from behind the photo adding it to the edge of the page. I've also added texture with a left over strip of deli paper used in this layout
Hope you're having a happy Sunday, I'm off to play with my February kit ;) Gina x
I'm delighted to be designing for Citrus Twist Kits once again and to be part of such a talented team from around the world! The January kits are just as beautiful as I remember, so easy to create with! Here's my first layout using both the main + sprinkles kits.. I've blogged the process on the CTK Blog here
Not much scrapping has been going on here lately..but this month I'm on the GDT for the Kraft+ October challenge.. along with the lovely Sandra Allan from Studio Fourteen40 and we're sharing posts using some gorgeous embellishments from S1440.. The Challenge this month is such a beautiful one!..check it out here.. it's all about feathers and natural elements and of course the classic kraft background..
Here's my take..
The gorgeous wood veneer feathers (original and #2) fit the criteria perfectly. After painting the tips with gesso, added a few silver birch twigs and loosely wrapped them all together in embroidery thread and securing the bundle with glue dots..
I'm a bit late posting this..but the good news is there's still time to enter the fun BINGO challenge over at Studio Fourteen40.. you have until then end of this month, and there's lots of options to choose from to create your page.. here's my take, I've gone with the line straight down the middle: glitter, flair, mists and stripes, along with a few extra prompts..
why not have a go? the prizes are FABULOUS!.. check it out here
finally sharing this layout created using the current Studio Fourteen40sketch..(didn't realise it was sitting in draft..oops!) It was a fun sketch incorporating the background and a great way to use up some tags as well..
It's time for a brand new challenge at Kraft+ and I think this would have to be my fave to date.. so much inspo included in the mood board, I was inspired by the olive wall, earthy colours, denim, ampersand, vintage books and circular beads, which I've replicated here with enamel dots, buttons and stickers..
just look at the possibilities you can draw for your project..check out some amazing examples by the Kraft+ DT, guest designers and sponsor designers on the blog post here..
