Recipe handed down from my grandmother
1/4 C butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup SR flour
* Cream butter and sugar until creamy, beat in egg
* Stir through flour
* Roll into small balls {teaspoon}
* Press end of wooden spoon in centre to make hole
* Fill with jam of your choice
* Bake in fairly hot oven for 10 minutes
