I'll start with the snow in my last post.. to clarify things..when I mentioned
it only happens every 3 years or so .. I actually meant it only settles this thickly
on the ground at our place..not in Tasmania.. it snows every year in Tassie
and we have a reasonable ski season at Mt Field and Ben Lomond.. some years
better than others.. but this season has been promising so far! Most serious
skiers will, however head to the mainland slopes or if they are lucky to New
Zealand or overseas for the powder junkies (like my M in another life LOL)
Well..it was a bit of an anticlimax where my snow pics are concerned ..by the
time I surfaced from a sleep-in (the girls got the day of school) the rain had
caused most of the snow to melt so I missed my photo op :(
Luckily the girls made the most of it while their mother was snoring her head
off and gathered up a barrow full of snow out of the rain and made these....

Rhiannon used a doggie treat for the mouth and of course Jesse discovered it and
stole poor snow bear's mouth and one eye before I could get my camera out LOL.
Here is Jem's lovely card that she is entering it in the Inkurable Stampers August
challenge (to use a flower stamp and at least one other type of stamp.. )
I was lucky enough to win these in last month's challenge with this card (using a flourish
stamp).. MANY thanks to Sarah of Inkurable Stampers for her great blog and inspiration
..and to Rachel Grieg for the stamps..check out the Darkroom Door range here.. they are
ALL gorgeous! ..and here's an eg of from the DD blog using the calendar stamps..WOW
Sorry for another looong post, here's my page, finished off today.. I had some
fun flinging a bit of paint around the place... messy but I like the effect :D
Weekend just around the corner.. wishing you a happy one! Gx
Paint is so much fun to use scrapping.. I love the layout and also the photos of the snow play! Good day to have a lay in I reckon Gina.

Love the little snow people and how clever to use a doggie treat, the dog can have it after the man melts. Your daughters card is so well done and finished off. I thought I might have a go this month, but she has scared me off.
Love your L/O as well and the paint effect, paint on pages is fun. Have a happy weekend.

Now those are the cutest little snowmen or should i say snowpeople i have ever seen, well done girls, and good on you for keeping yourselves occupied while sleepy head was in bed, (don't worry Gina, that is exactly where i would have been too!!) Your album must be getting full, with all your layouts of late, the colours are beautiful Gina, and the paint is great, i am a fan of paint, such great effects you can get with it for a small price!! The braid embellishment you made is very pretty as are the photos of your girls - they look like they were having a ball. See you for SSS, enjoy your weekend, stay warm. Annette x :0)

You are the 'neatest' mom, Gina ... these snow character photos are priceless $$$. I love Mercer Mayer children books with the dearest quote, "How do I love you, let me count the ways." Your dear daughters will never wonder ... Hugs from across the sea!
