Here's my second layout using this month's Qtea kit 'through the viewfinder' I've scrapped about Rhiannon being born on the 29th February and have added some hidden journaling under the vintage bingo card about how special this is..
I think my favourite part of the kit would have to be the vintage lace doily..I've sprayed it with some glimmer mists and just love the effect it created..and I still have more than half left over for another project or two..bonus!
..and here is the first layout which I showed a sneak for below..
During the last mini-heatwave..we all headed south to Mickey's Beach and had a had a wonderful time cooling off in the gorgeous water..
Yesterday I took Rhi and her bestie to Salamanca Markets and then to see Avatar.. I went in a little skeptical, thinking it would be just a big budget, visually stunning movie with not much of a plot..but I loved it and thought it gave a good message, (even though I thought it kind of like a furturistic version of Pocahontas)..and it was great to see talented Aussie actor Sam Worthington in the lead role
I unpacked most of my scrap supplies today and dug into my Qtea kit...here is a sneak peak, you can see the whole thing on the Qtea blog. There's still lots of yummies left over to play with I'll share some more creations later this week..so please stay tuned :)
I was planning to post this last night..in 09 but but after a stifling hot 38 deg C day yesterday we had an amazing lightning storm...and we lost our power at 10pm..so the new year arrived in total darkness lol..I've never seen so much sheet lightning in one night ever..it was almost back to back and the heavy rain was so good we all stepped out to cool down..anyway here is a look back at some of our favourite moments of 2009. Happy New Year everyone :) Gx
