2 C plain flour
1/4 C white sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 t cinnamon
65g butter
2 apples, grated
1/2 C milk
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl.
Rub in butter and add grated apple and milk
Stir with butter knife to form dough (should be quite sticky)
Cut with small scone cutter, place together on tray (just touching)
Bake approx. 15 mins at 200 deg C or until lightly brown and hollow sound when tapped
Wrap in clean tea-towel to soften slightly then eat with butter and a little jam if you like :)
