Guess the Movie Quiz

I found this on How About Orange..Can you guess the movie from a letter on it's
poster/cover? thought I was fairly good with fonts but it put me in my place..

laugh a minute..

M and I watched this last night..and it was such a crack up!..I haven't
laughed this much watching a movie for yonks! Simon Pegg was brilliant in
Hot Fuzz..and he did not disappoint in this one!...neither did Dylan Moran
(from Blackbooks) I had to keep rewinding little bits of dialogue as we were
both laughing so hard we missed the next bit.. hope you enjoy this clip :)

Little Miss J turned 10 today!..Her presents were opened rather early ;P



Big sis made her yummy pancakes for breakfast



We met Nan and Pop in our favourite cafe for afternoon tea



We all enjoyed Jem's  B.O.B. Monster(chocolate) birthday cake she baked all by
herself!  (Mum helped with the assembly and meringue icing only)



Happy Birthday sweetheart! I'm secretly hoping your next decade doesn't go so fast :D

Shadow Shot Sunday ~ #17

These shadows are taken from the driveway looking across the gully on our property
I noticed them driving home from the pool yesterday early afternoon..the grass is
still so green and lush there..won't be long and it will start yellowing..

I'm about to check out other Shadows on Hey Harriet...have a lot of catching up to do..
Why don't you join me? Hope your Sunday was a good one...we had a great time at the
school fair today..all the ginger beer sold out and there were sooo many people there..
I wouldn't be surprised if the funds raised break some kind of record for the school..

Here is Miss R in action in the face painting area..I managed to sneak away from my
stall to get a couple of quick pics.. this one will be a lady bird..



..and the girls had some fun at the end of the day using up all the paint and 'crazy
hair do's on each other..



I think Jem's would have passed as 'trick or treat' for Halloween! lol Gx

Saturday

Our gorgeous sunny Saturday started off with a little of this...

{Enjoying open day at our local swimming pool..I can see a lot of time spent here this
summer..the girls will be getting a season pass very soon :D }

..then back home in time for Mr Sandwich (made by Rhiannon using our home-made
bread and some fancy lettuce from the garden)



..then an hour searching for 'Blossom' the chook who wanted to see what life was
like outside her yard..we decided to have a break from the search and within
5 minutes she strolled back through the gates..thank goodness!



It's the girls' school fair tomorrow..here is M's ginger-beer he makes every year
I'm taking lemon slice for the coffee shop and we'll both be serving the ginger-
beer and watermelon on the day..Rhiannon is so excited that she got her name
on the face painting roster..so hopefully I can get some pics of her art! :D
I'll be back late tomorrow with my SSS, have a good one! Gx

1st Anniversary Giveaway!

'Think Pink'

Well I have two reasons for posting these pink cupcakes that the girls and I made
last weekend... firstly as a belated birthday wish for the wonderful
Shadow Shot Sunday host/shooter/mosaic maker extraordinaire! Hope your
day was extra special T, and young Sophie followed up on my request!

Secondly, the ANZ Fiskars Blog are hosting "Girls Night In' on October 30th to raise
money for Breast Cancer Awareness..If you would like to donate towards this worthy

Spring Blooms & 12 months on...

Everyday there are more signs of Spring around the garden...the bulbs are out and there
is a mass of yellow wattle in the valley..will have to post some wattle pics next time..

Luckily the weather was kind today and 'the big pour' took place for the new rock
studio/workshop.. here it is with all the preparations done..ready for the concrete
delivery..unfortunately I was taking Rhiannon to an art course while the truck was
here..so not able to get any action shots...

Here is my dear Dad..helping M to float off the concrete..he will be sore tonight 
Hopefully I'll be posting more progress shots later this year..will be sooo good to
see something happening above ground level LOL

And..today is the first anniversary of my blog..you can see my first ever post here..
I'm so pleased to still be here 12 months later..it's been so fantastic to meet such
lovely people along the way and share snippets of our lives...I'm looking forward to
 many more years.. ;D
I'm planning a little give-away soon to celebrate..but since I'll be out of action for a
while soon (I have a date with a surgeon....or my gall bladder does LOL)..
I will have to  postpone the giveaway until next month..so please stay tuned :D   Gx

Look Both Ways

Instead of watching the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony tonight I
watched this on a different channel.. one of my favourite movies..
certainly one of the best Aussie movies I've seen in recent years! 
If you haven't already done so.. I thoroughly recommend it :D
..and it was just as good, if not better, the second time around!

 



Brilliant acting by Justine Clarke and William McInnes..haven't they come a long way
 since their soapies? Do you have a favourite Austalian film? I'd love to hear if you do :D
