I found the recipe for these 'Russian Tea Cakes' at Smitten Kitchen
They keep well and can be packaged up into little parcels to give
out as Christmas gifts. Instead of roasting and grinding the nuts,
I used a small packet of almond meal. They are delicate and
light and definitely morish!

They look delicious and perfect with a cup of tea at this time of year - over here we tend have been nibbling on heavenly Scottish shortbread which is playing havoc with waistlines!

Ooh they look unusual. I bet they are delicious. Anyone would be pleased to receive those for Christmas I think.
