Meet our new addition ~ Jesse {formerly known as Fletch}
We adopted this beautiful boy today from the Dogs Home.
The girls and I went there looking for an older dog around
3-5 yrs, one that was already trained, could walk nicely on
a lead etc... We came home with the jumpiest, most hyper,
'lick your face', mischievous thing you could imagine!
He was the very first dog we saw at the home and won our hearts
in an instant! I think the fact that he reminds us so much of our
dear 'Nelson' as a puppy {a ginger kelpie x Collie}. Nelson
lived with us for 14 years and it's been almost 3 years since he
left us... We were definitely due for another best friend! :O)
{Jesse was into the rubbish within 2 minutes of arriving at his new
home and was very taken with the mouldy old cream container}
he's an absolute cutie and i wish you lots of patience over the next few months! just like a baby, there will be lots of good times followed by a few frustrating moments - but most of it's good. i envy you though - i'd love a dog but for some reason my kids are scared of animals - weird really as i love animals!
cheers

Jesse is beautiful--what a sweet boy! And what a great extra Christmas gift for the family! Wishing you all a joyous New Year! ((HUGS)) I see you have David Gilmour's "Remember That Night" on your wishlist...That one is fabulous, we just saw a down load of that concert of his from London--one of the best things I've ever seen in my life!

He's great! Dogs from the "home" are always always best. They love so deep. Jesse is a lucky boy to have such a great new family:)

Just browsing through your last blog entries made my stomach growl. So much attractive-looking food. Even though I'll leave the mouldy cream to your new companion. The likes of him are the reason I can't even go near a dog's home. I know I'd be coming home with at least two additions to my zoo.
Happy new year to you and yours !

Hi Gina. All Jesse's Christmasses have come at once in finding his new home and you all, he will be well loved, your story and pictures have brought tears to my eyes. We are going to hopefully look for a cat in a month or so from our local cat rescue, I know I am going to have difficulty choosing one and will have to go on a day when I am feeling less emotional, otherwise we will end up with a menagerie, and I am only allowed one! I am really glad you have found a new friend, will you teach him to blog! x
