Anyone would think we are soft drink addicts in our house...
The girls rarely have fizzy drinks actually..I made these lime spiders for them as
a treat after a week of camping with their Dad and Pop at the end of Summer..
All it takes is one big scoop of ice cream in a glass and top with lime fizzy ~ really
the only flavour to use!! (in this case Hartz Mineral Water..but the Schweppes one
is also great). The ice cream goes wonderfully frothy!
This scrap page was heaps of fun to do..especially the little spider trail and don't
fall off your seat Beth, I actually did some sewing on there as well..I was going
to try and sew a cobweb, but knew I would manage to stuff it up so settled for a
few simple rings instead..maybe I'll get more adventurous next time :D

Hello! I'm so glad I found your blog. It looks like you live in a beautiful part of Australia! Those scenic shots in the post a few down are superb!
A spiderweb would have been an achievement! But the concentric circles look really great and give the page a bit of a retro feel - which is sort of how I think about Lime Spiders. You know that I"m going to want one now, don't you. And it's freezing! Lol.

Gina this is a great L/O I love the colours so much and the sewing adds a special touch. Spiders are so nice, I feel like one right now, that I have seen it here.

Gina - another awesome layout. This actually makes me wish I had lime spider photos lol, because if I did I'd scraplift this in a flash! The stitching and spiders are fabulous. Yay for stitching :)

I noticed that your blog remembered me as 'Lucy' so I don't quite no what's going on there. Weird. But that's ok, I like the name Lucy :)

Gina :P
yes..those bird nest I posted are exactly the same in Thailand, a delicacy and very expensive one. Did you try it? ..just think of the 'saliva' part hahaaa...I try to post some 'funny', exotic or repulsive looking food in my blog..something different, maybe common here but unknown outside Asia. Since I cant bake or cook as good as you, I figured I'd do some weird food posting..hopefully it wont put you off hahaahaaa..
Back to you scrap. Absolutely beautiful, whenever I see your scraps, it always makes me want to dig out the old stuff and make something!! I love the fizzy drinks, my kids will flip over when they see this post for sure! I particularly love the last picture, that 3 D effect is very stunning. Happy week or weekend coming soon already..time flies :P

Dear Gina
I love your hens. I have always had a soft spot for hens. My grandmother had them and as a treat we were able to feed them when we stayed with her. They were free range and came when we called. Her hens didn’t have names but as they had personalities we came recognized individual ones. My mother remembers a bantam that she had as a child and was her special pet. I have never had the opportunity to have any myself but I’m sure I would enjoy them.
I like you shadow photos too.

During the summer we have ice-cream floats with either cream soda, coca-cola or ginger beer. I must try it with lime, sounds lovely. x

Such a pretty lime green scrap page Gina, and the photos of your daughters on it are so cute! I have a question -- was the lemonaide in the scones recipe you gave a few days sgo flat or bubbly? I know in Ireland lemonaide is fizzy with bubbles, but in the US it is flat, no bubbles. I want to make sure I use the right thing. Thanks! Hugs, Pat
