It's time to share another layout using the March Cupcake kit from A Piece of Cake Designs..
For this page, I've used a dark kraft cardstock and scraped some white gesso up and down to create texture. Once dry, I've sprayed some mists through the Teresa Collins stencil.. Layers were created with 6x6 papers and a couple of wood veneer pieces which were stained with brown ink first
the orange chevron flair came from the Sweet Sunset set and I've added some black and white thread behind for texture..
I've also added a splattering of purple Twinkling H2O's and a title using the Studio Calico stickers

OXO > APOCD
I've been creating with the fun and colourful Cupcake kit from A Piece of Cake Designs over the last week and this is my first layout.. As soon as I saw the Teresa Collins stencil set I knew it was going to be fun! I've used the heart stencil and sprayed onto the front with an aqua and turquoise mist then printed it in a few places to make the background.. I've also splattered some ink and the purple Twinkling H2O around the page..
I've added in lots of layers using the 6x6 papers, stickers, washi and cherry flair..
the wood veneer is part of the Insta Lovin set

you have my heart > APOCD > CSI
During March A Piece of Cake Designs is sponsoring weekly challenges at CSI (Color, Story, Inspiration) and the design team will be sharing their layouts on the APOCD blog and at CSI.. I've chosen the first challenge and here is my take using the Feb main cake kit..
I've added some hidden journaling on the Elle's Studio paper..
I painted the thickers and also leaves on the hand cut flowers with an aqua glimmer mist..

happy moment > APOCD
I'm sharing my first layout created with the gorgeous February main cake kit from A Piece of Cake Designs.. I've used a few papers including the Bo Bunny "pincushion" and Echo Paper "forever and ever" which make a nice contrast for the background
I've also added a scraping of white gesso and a little water colour before placing the photo and some paper borders on top. I love the "sweet" wood veneer tucked underneath..
the Elle's Studio "hello new year" paper is perfect for journalling..

I've been creating with some cherry flair again this week, and the Blooming Lovely set would have to be an all time fave set from A Piece of Cake Designs..
I've added some soft white thread underneath..
Guess who's raided the scrap paper box again?.. and used some new feather washi from D-Lish Scraps..

Happy New Year > APOCD
This week I've had the chance to play with some very cool new release wood veneer pieces form A Piece of Cake Designs, in particular this "Happy New Year" set..
I've raided the scrap paper box for this one, using some favourite papers from the past couple of years, along with a torn strip of vintage paper.. and a cherry flair, which is also from APOCD

..cherry flairs are one of my fave things to play with at the moment and I've created this layout using some cool exclusive designs from A Piece of Cake Designs..
they are from the Painted V2 set and I've also used some left-overs from the November Main Cake Kit..
I love how they coordinate so well with both pastel and brights.. I've added some messy threads behind each flair and also embellished witha sprinkling of buttons and sequins..
