 Hi, I'm back with some pages created with gorgeous kits from A Piece of Cake Designs.. this one using last month's cupcake kit.. I loved playing with the Teresa Collins stencils and used one on the background along with some mists and twinklins H2O's..

  

 

this set of cards was a great way to use up scraps from the kit..

 

and lastly, here's another layout (I forgot to blog earlier) using the Feb main cake kti, documenting one of our very fave destinations in NZ last summer..

dreaming of summer past..

While snuggled up indoors with the woodfire going nearly 24/7 lately..(yes it's winter where I live in Tasmania, Austraila) I've been reliving the fun of last summer while I scrap some layouts using the gorgeous July Kits from Citrus Twist Kits..

For this layout, I've created a misted background using TCW template found in the embellie add-on and there is a tutorial on the CTK blog here if you'd like to check it out..

 this layout showed another way to use twine which is lovingly wrapped around all the kits by Trina, here I've wound some twine around the wood veneer asterisk shapes found in the main kit 

another layout the gorgeous summer and nautical theme in the kits..

I've used some printable Pocket Life tags and added part of the title and journaling inside..

and lastly I made a fun card.. how cute is the doggie paper?

owl always love you...

here's the first layout using the gorgeous June kits from Citrus Twist; 'Boardwalk' and 'Ferris Wheel.. Miss Jem wearing her fave bag while on holiday earlier this year..of course it's an owl bag!

love the exclusive CTK flair in the main kit...

I've also used one on this card.. that's washi under the slide frame and I've pleated the ribbon and secured with fasteners..

Citrus Twist shares..

Yes I'm a little late once again but here are a few creations made with the May Add-On and Main kits..Loving the colours in this one..

this one is just with the Add-On kit...and a couple of wooden stars from my stash.. oh how I love the colourful triangle washi!..

I've also used some Heidi Swapp Color Shine and watercolour inks..

 and this last layout was posted as a tutorial on the old CTK blog..and now that we have a wonderful new blog I don't think it will be accessible any more so I might just publish here soon..

and finally her is a simple card made with the Add-On and main kits.. love the canvas butterflies in the main kit!

I've inked up one of the thickers and added some white stitching for extra texture..

I have a little tutorial up at the Citrus Twist blog this week..

I'll post the steps below in case you might like to create something similar using tags, diecuts and some foam thickers :)

first up here are the items I used from this month's 'blue sky' kit..you'll also need a fine paintbrush, jar of water, a white card and adhesives..

step 1: using the Prima ink from the kit, dip a thinnish paint brush in  a little water first then dab it a few times onto the ink pad.. carefully paint the reinforcement ring on the tag..

step 2: ink the edges of a diecut heart shape and MME word sticker..

step 3: ink both the 'x's' (and give them about 10 minutes or so to dry before picking them up)

step 4: cut and stick down a piece of patterned paper to fit your card.. then the large tag on a slight angle 

step 6: add the small tag on the opposite angle..

 step 7: add the 'smile' and heart diecuts with the words sticker on top..

 step 8: add the foam thickers to finish..
