autumn colour..

being my favourite season, I take many photos of the changing colours in the garden and when out walking..so I based my latest JBS layout on the gorgeous leaves of the Tasmanian deciduous beech.. 

I've used a feather stencil and stamp as a substitute for leaves..and misted with several colours, also printing with the reverse side of the stencil..and splattering around the page..

embellished with the classic green vintage button, doily sequin and cardstock feather..

JBS shares..

I shared these layouts on the Jenni Bowlin Studio blog recently and they feature some gorgeous new products.. a fave would have to be these doily sequins, for the soft colours and texture..I've stitched them in place across the page..

..and this new background paper was perfect for a theatre themed layout of Jem and her friends..

I've combined with lots of older products and digi cut shapes, along with some vintage dress pattern..

GDT at JBS..

Hi, just sharing a few creations today from my time as Guest Designer at Jenni Bowlin using a some gorgeous supplies from the June Papercrafting, Artisan and Historian add-on kits

First up, behind the photo I've layered some 2013 exclusive JBS patterned paper with a section of vintage perforated address labels which have been machine stitched for texture. I've also added some messy thread and a section of ribbon, which has been pleated and secured with mini fasteners..

I've gone for a more subtle colour scheme on this next layout and fell in love with the exclusive Mercantile Ink Spots stamp. I've used a combination of chalk inks on the stamp for a few touches of colour

In this last layout, I've created a background with a few scrapes and smears of white gesso. Once dry, I traced inside some stars from the exclusive JBS scattered stars stencil with a black fine liner. With a little water on a small paintbrush I dabbed the outlines in a few spots to smudge the lines and create a bit of a 'grunge' effect

I've use the OA Travel girl a lot this month, and must say I love this line so much!

life's a beach..

here's another layout I did for the Jenni Bowlin Blog..it's of one of our many holiday snaps from last summer. I've used items found in three June JBS kits; the Papercrafting, Artisan and Historian Add-ons. 

As you can see I've had a lot of fun creating the background on this one. I've used the left over sticker sheet from the Papercrafting kit as a frame work for some misted paper scraps. The stars were created using the Mercantile exclusive scattered stars stencil also from the Papercrafting kit.

when JBS meets Elle's Studio..

Over the last week JBS and Elle's Studio teamed up to host a week of fabulous inspiration. I was lucky enough to play with the new  'Cameron' line from Elle's Studio and combine it with some favourites products from JBS. Here's the result...

 I've used Modern Mercantile 'Novelties' paper for the background and added some gesso then spray inks to stencil through a section of stars from the Digital Backdrops 1 file. I've cut some of the left-over  misted stars out placed them around the page. These stars compliment the cute Elle's Studio star stamps too! A new JBS fave for me is this gorgeous delicate decorative brad

 

I've cut a 12" strip from the kraft die cut paper and added a few different Elle's Studio papers behind. I've also used some cute Tidbits and a Tiny Tag..

 

Further layers have been added using JBS paper tape, stickers and a green vintage button

guest designing at PDCC

Hi there...this week I'm guesting at the Play Date Cafe and I got to use this gorgeous inspiration..

I really love the natural colours and textures, here's my layout..

scattergories @ jbs

hi there..I thought I'd share this layout I created for a challenge at JBS called 'Scattergories' 
I chose the letter 'G' for this one..and have included things such as; gold, green, grey, girl, globe paper, gems, Glitz, grid paper, graph paper and glimmer mist.. 

for the background I used an exclusive JBS stencil, spraying glimmer mist through it in a couple of spots then reversing and printing with the excess mist..

JBS Shares..

So far this year..blogging time for me has been few and far between..so it's about time I share with you a few recent pages using some beautiful Jenni Bowlin products.. This one was for ScrapFriends and there's also a step-by-step tutorial showing how I alterered the JBS chipboard buttons here 

this layout was created for the JBS blog theme 'using JBS cut files' 

I've used the backdrops 1 cut file on this page..in 3 different ways.. firstly I've used the circles as a stencil to dab paint through.. then I've misted them ink ink and 'printed off' the excess mist over the painted circles.. 

..and finally I've layered the misted circle diecut under the paper layers

 ..and here's another layout for the JBS blog during the lead up to Christmas..

I've used a couple more of the altered chipboard buttons shown above..

Well I'm a little caught up now, I'll be back to share some more scraps very soon..
